    TPU thermoplastic polyurethane was first developed by BF Goodrich (now Lubrizol) in 1959. Today it serves as the base material for high-end bicycle inner tubes.

    TPU is a flexible material and is subject to limited tolerances. Although we apply state-of-the-art production and strict control procedures, the weight may deviate by +/- 7%.

  • Are Eclipse TPU inner tubes recyclable?

    Yes, Eclipse TPU inner tubes are 100% recyclable. They are completely made of thermoplastic polyurethane and with a metal valve. This makes the recycling process easily applicable. The chambers enter a second life cycle as a sealing or insulating material.

  • Do extreme temperatures affect Eclipse TPU bladders?

    TPU is extremely temperature stable. The material can easily withstand high temperatures up to 100°C and cold temperatures down to -50°C.

  • How do you install Eclipse TPU inner tubes?

    Eclipse TPU inner tubes install like any other bicycle inner tube.

  • Can I repair Eclipse TPU inner tubes?

    You can easily repair Eclipse TPU inner tubes using Eclipse repair patches. The self-adhesive patches should be placed directly on the area after cleaning with alcohol or other detergent to clean the area involved.
